bonifaye do you have any suggestions when you have mostly sand I'm going to have good dirt brought in along with tilling what little dirt I have for grass here in Florida

Clay , is fertile but needs organic matter to make it drain better , loosen the soil for roots to grow! Good analogy!

Do a lasagna garden! Layering a combo of carbon materials with nitrogen materials , you add some soil to each layer to get the biology going! I have done this method 18 years with great results!

So far my garden is doing so good. Praise God for beautiful gardens and the sun and rain to grow them. I like the hard labor though I have to take lots of breaks. I'm 65 with osteoporosis.

You’re so right Scott, I have been remade beyond what I thought possible over the last few years. An ongoing process! Am growing stuff like crazy, and have dug up my lawn or most of it!
