Ep4114_BardsFM Morning - You Will Be Entertained
Wednesday May 13, 2026
Wednesday May 13, 2026
So much of the content we are being exposed to is designed to entertain rather than inform. The visual emphasis on news and analysis has become increasingly driven by set design, image of the presenter and lighting. The question that must be asked is what do these layers of information do to enhance the information being delivered. When watching becomes more important than listening, we are not building the deep cognitive critique the information age demands.

Same Scott. Maybe if storyboards were used, but that is not a medium appropriate for your message. I do not want to be distracted by the thoughts provoked watching someone speak. People tend to take in information visually and allow it to begin projecting an overlay onto the messenger without conciously realizing it. This has become a problem in modern society since we began to ”watch” media. Visual is great for movies, because production in every scene provides context for the narrative.

Scott, I 🙏 you see this! I LOVE your podcast! 💯 prefer 🎧🎙️to 📺. Your instinct/insight is totally accurate. I listen on Podcast Addict. Chat rooms usually a distraction, 💑 talking rather than 🦻to Speaker. Sounds like your group may be exception. Visual IS distraction costing us loss of HEARING within. Listening is an ART transforms the ❤️ l. 🎶 players know, I for 🙏 ALL allow u to B YOU! Nevermind the 🕛 we r in. Seeing comes thru hearing. Keep beating 🪘 tribe gather round the 🎙️

Scott, you should consider having Mike Adams The Health Ranger on. He is an engineer and food scientist. He developed a proprietary Ai based on truth and uses curated research from Mercola, Greenmesinfo and others. He’s a true genius.

What I am asking is what the layer of visual information is that enhances the story. Not sure how a visual learner … and I am one… gains more learning from watching someone talk for an hour versus listening .

I can appreciate what you are saying about audio only, but people learn differently. I learned this homeschooling my kids. One learner was an excellent audible learner and another child was a better visual learner. The point I believe you are making is to have a discerning mind as we see the world and all the things coming at us and take it to the Holy Spirits to guide us.

Enjoy the listen. I have noticed that when I am listening to a conversation with videos I feel like I need to watch or I am missing something. It takes more energy and time I typically listen while working

The only thing that is changing is where we do live chat. Everything else remains the same. Blessings .

Scott, I prefer to listen while I can keep busy working with my hands. I watch videos, when someone is demonstrating something, but otherwise I listen. However, taking time to be quiet and sitting in silence. I don’t mind Rumble chat, but has always been the best, in my opinion. I often catch your shows on other than attend a live show, so as long as you still post them here, I am thankful.
