The sound of the shofar is one of the most beautiful sounds. It calls to my very soul and spirit. I miss going to my Bible study (not in the same state anymore), and hearing the shofar blown every Friday night.

Rosh means "head" in Hebrew. Shana means year. Ha means the,- therefore Rosh Hashanah means head of the year or beginning of the new year.
