Target market research…Husband has 💯 disability. He also has an MBA. He’s currently talking classes in a “dirty job” trade so we can start our own business. VA wants to monitor EVERYTHING he does and control him just so they can say, “If you do xyz, then u must not be disabled. We think you should work here…” it’s ridiculous! So yea, pensions/ disability is great until you realize they not only owned you for 20+ years but they STILL own you after. BS (biblical stupidity).

I agree w much of what you say, but many {MANY} small towns are sadly under the thumbs of crooked politicians and old money and they fight w all they have to prevent ANYTHING good. I know, I come from such a place. On the other hand, there are many amazing small towns that say NO to franchises. They still have 4H. They do not let folks build right on top of each other. Much research would be needed to find the right fit for each individual/ family.
