@bernielorraine44 : My grandchildren who are all 10 years or younger are interested in learning cursive as to them it is like a secret code. So I try to teach it to them. I also am a preschool teacher at a church school and have a few preschoolers who have shown interest in cursive that I like to encourage. Like I said, they see it as a secret code, something they can know that others don’t.

@not I, but Christ : I had a similar experience in college Philosophy classes. But learning about other philosophies strengthened my faith in Christ.

@bernielorraine44 : My son in law says he can’t read my letters when I write in cursive. He asks my daughter to translate my writing! They are 35-6. I taught cursive to my children because their schools stopped requiring it.

I studied Philosophy, Psychology, and Logic, in college and study Christian Theology actively since 2002. In high school they used to have a class called “Americanism vs Communism” that was a semester long as well as the choice of either Sociology or Psychology as the other semester (here in Florida). I don’t know when they removed that from the required curriculum, but it is obvious that most people younger than 40 have not been exposed to those subjects.
