Spot on. There are religions that teach that you can work for exaltation and become a God. I agree this is very dangerous and is in a sense a worship of self.

The Bible has been preserved by God so we can know who God is! It doesn't make sense to me that God would not preserve something tangible that we can rely on. Without something substantial we would all just be left to our own feelings in determining truth. That is not a trustworthy way to determine truth as the enemy can use it to deceive us.

Wow! What a powerful episode. Thank you Scott. I’ve been struggling with an answer to the idea of a Universal Christ. Parts of the idea sound plausible and lovely. Truth is so easily twisted and used to manipulate. Discernment (aka wisdom!) walking humbly in absolute faith in God.
