Regarding the man being the head of the woman - remember, Jesus submitted to the Father, though they are equal and one.

The common interpretation of 'ezer' is that the woman is a helper to man. While that is true, the deeper intent of the word is 'warrior' meaning the woman fights along side the man. Fighting for marriage, for raising good kids. Whatever a couple faces, they are united, working toward the same goal.

"Do not prostitute your daughter, to cause her to be a whore; lest the land fall to whoredom, and the land become full of wickedness." ~ Leviticus 19:29 ~

"and therefore will the LORD wait, that He may be gracious unto you, and therefore will He be exalted, that He may have mercy upon you: for the LORD is a God of judgement: blessed are all they that wait for Him. ~ Isaiah 30:18 ~
