I know that's not word for word, but it's there in the Bible. God please show mercy to ppl who have strayed and give us the wisdom to be able to help.

Doesn't Jesus tell us to weep with those who weep, laugh with those who laugh, mourn with those who mourn? I can't remember where the verse is but I know I've read it. Also, when a brother or sister fall away we try and help bring them back to the faith and if they won't listen to you take another believer with you and try to persuade them to repent and return. If they won't listen, then wipe the dust off your feet and leave that person. And don't associate with them unless they come back.
