Father in Law taught me a great lesson about giving handouts to the homeless bc I always questioned whether they might use it for alcohol or drugs. He instructed by saying that that doesn’t matter, that you have been instructed by God and done your part and now it was in their hands and choice to use wisely.

Jesus sees his church as a family or community of people dedicated to serving God. “Whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother, and sister, and mother” (Matthew 12:50)

@LoriKay your reaction to the message isn't bad & Kesterson wants you to take away what you will and disregard what you don't want. I think his stance on the church going is not to get caught up in the religious aspect like the Pharisees did & I'm sure like the rest of us everyone has had experiences where ppl just are hypocritical and go through the motions of attending like Pharisees instead of having a relationship with the Lord. sadly the church has been so corrupted in every denomination.
