One of the treasured blessings of being a child and growing up in the 60's and 70's is that we got to witness the total rebellion of the after-war "boomers," and people used to visit each other a lot back then, so we also got to hang around the edges of circles of adults and elderly ones, and listen to their commentary and critique of it all; and though we didn't realize at the time, much wisdom was absorbed just by being present and witness.
