War is the teacher, soldiers its students. Faith and Knowledge the greatest weapons of war. Through stories, we reshape the narratives to strengthen our resolve, awaken the truth, expand our vision beyond the limits of the Matrix and bring us closer to God. In the end, God wins.

Rochelle Porto and I dig into the French and Indian War (1754-1763). The name is confusing since the war is actually between the UK and France. The war is a formative part of our pre-Revolutionary period, shaping many of the legendary names in our history. This is where we see the rise of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, and the roots of the Culper Spy Ring. The French and Indian War also sets the conditions for the protests against taxation and fixes the spirit of revolution in the hearts of the colonialists that ultimately lead us to the Declaration of Independence. This is a deep under-studied part of our history that is formative in all that follows.

Thomas Gage was also mentioned in this episode as being in this same battle with Washington. Gage stays in America after the war, living in New York with his American wife, Margaret of New Jersey. In 1773, Gage decides that his boys should go to school in England so the family is uprooted from NY. In a few short months he is ordered to return to Boston to ‘quell a rebellion’ as military commander and governor of Massachusetts. I am finding 1776, a story of many torn hearts 🇺🇸💔🇬🇧

This episode mentions Washington fighting against the French under General Braddock. On page B2 in my Founders Bible, Brad talks about the ‘Americans and their English allies’ fighting the French, and narrates the story of Washington taking command when General Braddock was mortally wounded and then personally conducting his funeral. There is also a story about Washington keeping Braddock’s military Sash. I see deep fraternal friendship between these two soldiers.

This lesson series is so awesome, so much information. With each lesson i am ready to explode. My father would have loved this so much.♥️ Thank you Scott. Absolutely love the choice of the closing prayer. Amen Hallelujah Jesus ♥️ 🔥

Well done to you both! Fascinating! I had no idea of the depth of all this, and even though history is not always as we think, this, hopefully, is recent enough to be relatively accurate! But it does also show that in the long run there is nowhere that will ever be safe from the ambitions of the men who would be gods!

Wow! This episode was like a walk into the past. The amount of money and blood spent to satisfy a tyrant is mind boggling. Just as interesting is the portrait of relations with Indians being positive ...not the picture we have historically been offered. My question about where arms for the revolutionary War have finally been answered 👍 This is a fantastic episode and I thank you both
